Sometimes we forget to treat ourselves, especially at this time of year. We’re so focused on treating other people, and so focused on making sure everyone else is happy that we forget to focus on number one. Make this year different. You deserve a treat more than anyone else. Every girl loves a spot of shopping as well, so why not have a little splurge for once. A lot of the time you’ll see things and be desperate to buy it, but will choose not to because of money etc. For once, take the chance to make yourself happy with a few ideas below.

Shopping With The Girls

A day out shopping is just what you need to make yourself happy, especially when it is with the girls. There’s just something so fun about walking around the shops, having a giggle, and looking at all the wonderful clothes that seem out of your price range. But there are going to be some things that you love and know you can afford. Don’t go too overboard and put yourself out of pocket, but if you see a nice top you like don’t be afraid to buy it. If you want to make a day of it, go for lunch and a few drinks so that you’ve had a full and good day out.

Online Shopping

Us girls can be a little lazy. Sometimes a trip to the shop is just too much effort, especially at this time of year. If you’re wanting a quick treat, online shopping is the way forward. If you don’t want to spend too much straight away, you could try credit cards for online shopping. They’re a quick way of buying anything you want, without sacrificing the money you’ll need to spend on gifts for other people. They work just like normal credit cards, and most of them won’t make you pay anything back for months. Plus, sometimes it’s really easy to get carried away with online shopping, isn’t it? You’ll put one thing after another into your basket, and before you know it you’re 10 items and $200 deep into a shopping spree. That horrible feeling of picking what to remove won’t exist if you try a credit card.

Holiday Shopping

Shopping doesn’t have to be all about clothes. One of the best things you can do is shop for holidays. Plus, all of us girls really do get to the point where we need a holiday from time to time. A lot of travel agents will let you spread the cost as well, as long as you can pay a deposit. It’ll make life easier for you, and give you something to look forward to in the new year. You can also try last minute deals if you’re desperate to get away sooner rather than later. There are some really wonderful destinations that you can travel to see some amazing Christmas markets if you’d like to do something this side of the year. Or there’s some incredible beach destinations that have your name on it.

  1. TREAT YO’SELFFFFF. I’m totally with you on this – I think it’s perfectly okay to just treat yourself once in a while because you deserve it! And why wait around for somebody else to do it!?

    • Exactly!!! It’s SO nice to not have to justify your purchases to anyone else and just feel blissful at that time of purchase and indulge in the new product!

  2. My mom always gives me a bunch of crap when I buy things for myself, but I have to treat myself to something at least once a month or I lose my mind. Life is stressful enough, so I feel it’s always good to treat yourself.

    • My mum used to give me a bunch of crap as well – especially when I worked to earn that money! I completely agree; I don’t think I can ever give up treating myself… even if it’s a random $10 item I really wanted, that would help me get through a rough week or something.
